Please help support the Sag Harbor Whaling and Historical Museum by becoming a member. Membership dues play an integral part in sustaining the Whaling Museum throughout the winter months when we are closed to visitors. During this time period we plan the upcoming season's exhibition and events, research and order appropriate and exciting museum shop merchandise, search for and hire front desk and museum shop staff: all with the intent of creating an educational, fun, interesting and valuable experience for our museum visitors.

As a member you will be admitted to the museum for free and you will receive a 10% discount at the museum shop. You will also receive our annual newsletter, as well as specified discounts at museum events and educational programs. Please call the Whaling Museum at 631-725-0770 in order to join our efforts in keeping Sag Harbor's Whaling history alive. Thank you for your generous support.

Volunteer!
Help keep Sag Harbor's whaling history alive by volunteering or becoming a docent at the Whaling Museum. Volunteers will work primarily in the museum shop and docents will lead both adult and school groups throughout the museum.

Museum shop volunteers should feel comfortable interacting with our visitors and assisting them with their purchases. You should also be able to count change and be willing to learn to use a credit card machine. Docents will be trained in the history of whaling, artifact history, our building history and local history in order to present this to our tour groups.

Please call 631-725-0770 to become a volunteer at the Whaling Museum. Thank you for your support.
