…First part had light breezes from the E; middle part calm… Employed this day in a thorough washing out the cabins…

Sun, Oct 27,1844 (Lat 28.50)

…Light variable winds, steering ESE.  Gaming with the Tuscarora.  She buried a man this day - died of consumption after a long illness.

This day had frequent rain squalls, light breezes from the NE by E… Employed in scraping and washing ship outside.

This day had stiff breezes from the NE with frequent squalls of rain…

Wed, Oct 30, 1844 (Lat 25.11 Lon 51.59 W)

This day for the most part pleasant.  Had a few light rain squalls with brisk breezes  from the NE.  Latter part gamming with the Tuscarora.
